1/6/13-Something Historical–Spring Training 1986-My First Posed Vin Scully Photograph—Photography by Jon SooHoo/©Los Angeles Dodgers,LLC 2013

Hall of Fame Broadcaster Vin Scully poses with Jo Lasorda, wife of Manager Tom Lasorda, in March 1986 outside the Dodgers Clubhouse at Dodgertown in Vero Beach Florida. Photo by Jon SooHoo/© Los Angeles Dodgers,LLC 2013
In what was my first posed photograph of Vin Scully, I asked him to pose with Tommy’s wife Jo, who was visiting Dodgertown. Seeing how much more relaxed everyone is during Spring Training, I had less fear of asking. As a young buck not knowing anyone during my first Spring Training, it was a huge step for me to get over my nerves and ask him.
I have taken a lot of images of Vin since that day and one of my favorites is from HIS bobblehead day in August of 2012 where divine intervention took place.
3/31/12-Something Historical-Sandy Koufax and Orel-Mid 1990′s-Photography by Jon SooHoo/Los Angeles Dodgers
I asked the legendary Dr. Frank Jobe how he got Sandy Koufax to be in uniform for his fantasy camp in the 90′s. According to Jobe, he was standing over Koufax with tools in hands about to do surgery on him and right before he went under, Jobe asked him if he would attend his first ever fantasy camp for doctors. Koufax wisely agreed and the result for me was a wonderful session with Koufax and Hershiser. This is one of the coolest images from the shoot. I am not sure if Orel was throwing to anyone but the late day light filled under their caps with gorgeous sunlight and the deep, rich colors shot on Fujichrome 100D made for a wonderful image. This session was done on the mounds of the strings area at Dodgertown in Vero Beach, Florida. Shot with Mamiya RZ67. Other images from this shoot will presented down the road. © Jon SooHoo/Los Angeles Dodgers
3/29/12-Something Historical–Holman Stadium 2004-Photography by Jon SooHoo/Los Angeles Dodgers
A view from Holman Stadium in Vero Beach,Florida during a night game against the Houston Astros from 2004. Night games were always a lot more relaxed and a sunset like this just added to the setting. Vero Beach was a wonderful place to spend Spring Training and I have a lot of special memories from the 20 plus Springs I spent there. Shot with Canon EOS-1D and 24-70/2.8. © Jon SooHoo/Los Angeles Dodgers
