1/19/13-Something Historical–Stanley Cup Champions Los Angeles Kings Team Photo at Dodger Stadium With Friends-6/13/12-Photo by Jon SooHoo/©Los Angeles Dodgers,LLC 2012
As the Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings raise their banner at Staples later today, this photo came to mind as one of my favorite photo moments of 2012. It involved the Dodgers and Angels posing with the Kings and their Stanley Cup taken June 13, 2012 at Dodger Stadium.
Special thanks to Kings Jeff Moeller, Angels Tim Mead and Dodgers Joe Jareck for helping make this possible.
Congratulations Kings!
11/29/12-Something Historical–Rest In Peace David Courtney–Photography by Jon SooHoo/2012
Just heard about the passing of my friend, public address announcer David Courtney. He worked in Los Angeles for the Kings, Clippers and filled in once in awhile with the Dodgers. He was also the public address announcer in Anaheim for the Angels.
I first met David in KABC’s helicopter flying over LA with him as he did the traffic reports.
This photo is from January 13, 2011 at Staples Center for a Kings game.
He was very easy to talk to and he will be sorely missed.
RIP David.
11/24/12-Something Historical-Stanley Cup Visits the Stadium-8/25/02-Photo by Jon SooHoo/©Los Angeles Dodgers,LLC 2012
Although the Stanley Cup came to Dodger Stadium with the Los Angeles Kings just this summer, it wasn’t the first time.
Luc Robitaille, Tom Glavine and Eric Gagne pose for me in August of 2002 when Robitaille brought it. Both Glavine and Gagne were really excited to pose with Robitaille and the Cup.
2/16/12-Something Historical–Mattingly Takes Out Rawitch–Dodgers Night at the LA Kings-January 2011
In honor of tonight’s Dodgers Night at the LA Kings game where our GM Ned Colletti will drop the ceremonial puck, I thought this would be a cool photo to add to my blog of Don Mattingly taking out our then VP of PR Josh Rawitch with a stick across the chest during Dodgers Night last season. Rawitch has left the Dodgers and is now in the same role with the Diamondbacks. © Jon SooHoo/Los Angeles Dodgers
